Family unhappy over review of contentious Shane O’Farrell killing
The family of a young man, killed in controversial circumstances by a serial criminal who should have been in jail at the time, has criticised a Government decision to appoint a judge to examine the case rather than order an immediate public inquiry.* Judge Gerard Haughton of the District Court was on Tuesday night appointed to conduct a scoping exercise to determine what further inquiries, if any, should be conducted into the killing of 23-year-old Shane O’Farrell.
