Local TD Niamh Smyth says yesterday’s announcement is welcome but more needs to be done:MEP Matt Carthy said the wider government seem to be intent on delaying what he considers the inevitable outcome into the circumstances of Shane’s killing and the actions of all relevant bodies. He added it is evident that there was in-action, incompetency and disregard for laws in place regarding bail and criminal procedures and a full independent inquiry is needed to get answers.
